The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is computer adaptive test taken by students applying for admission and merit-based scholarship in American graduate schools.
    GRE TESTING AREAS
  1. ANALYTICAL WRITING ASSESSMENT (2 ESSAYS)
    The analytical Writing section tests your ability in ciritical thinking and analytical writinig skills. It assesses your ability to articualte and support complex ideas, analyse and argument, and sustain a focused and coherent discussions.
    For the issue Task: You will be able to choose 1 to 2 essays topics selsected by teh computer from the pool of topics. You are asked to respond to a particular issue, clearly presenting our view points on the issue and supporting your position with reasons and examples.
    The Argument Tasks: Does not offer a choice of topics; the computer will present you with a single topic selected from the topic pool. You are asked to critique the line of visioning of an argument given in a brief passage, clearly pointing out the arguments strengths and weakness and supporting your position with reasons and examples.
     
  2. QUANTITATIVE SECTIONS
    The quantitative SEctions test your basic mathematical skills and your understanding of elementary mathematical concepts in arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis as well as your ability to reason quantitatively and solve problem in a quantitiative setting.
    For quantitiative comparision questions: You are required to compare two quantities and decide whether the first quantitiy is greater, smaller,equal or doesn't match with the second quantity.
    For discrete Quantitative Questions: You are required to answer different types of multiple choice questions.
    For Data Quantitative Questions: You are required to answer questions based on teh information presented in some form of a graph, a chart or a table.
     
  3. VERBAL SECTION
    The Verbal SEction measures your abilities, especially your ability to understand scholarly prose and to work with specialized and technical vocabulary.
    For Antonym Questions: You are given a words andmust choose the west from a list of five choices that follow it.
